Global Staff Solutions holds a Federal Labour Agreement, which allows us to sponsor skilled and qualified agricultural workers for placement in regional Australia.
The visa used under this agreement is the Temporary Longstay Business Visa (subclass 457). There are three positions predominately used under this agreement; they are the Mobile Plant Operator and the Farmer or Farm Manager.
Mobile Plant Operators
A Mobile Plant Operator under this agreement must be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of three years practical agricultural experience;
- Skills and/or qualifications equivalent to an AQF3 Certificate in Agriculture; and
- An ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
If you are eligible to be nominated as a mobile plant operator, the length of the visa is for six months. If you would like to stay longer than this, you are able to renew your visa application for a maximum of four years i.e.. eight applications are able to be made.
Farmers and Farm Managers
A Farmer or Farm Manager under this agreement must be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of three years practical agricultural experience in a supervisory capacity;
- Skills and/or qualifications equivalent to that of an AQF5 Certificate in Agriculture; and
- An ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
If you are eligible to be nominated as a Farmer or Farm Manager, the length of the visa is for 2 years.
